Brenda Walk is the founder, owner, and operator of Quantum Physical Therapy. She is passionate about her work and has the pleasure of working alongside her long-time friend and Office Manager, Peter.
Prior to pursuing a career in Physical Therapy, Brenda earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Rutgers University. During her undergraduate studies Brenda enjoyed being a successful student-athlete on the Rutgers Women’s Rowing team.
After graduation, Brenda taught high school in Harlem, New York for the non-profit Teach for America. Despite her love for teaching, she decided to continue her own education. She received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Texas State University in 2013 and is a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopedics.
Brenda believes that one should never stop learning and growing. Some of her favorite continuing education include training from Shirley Sahrmann on movement impairment, Doug Kelsey on targeted tissue training, and blood flow restriction training.
Brenda is the mother of three German Shepherds, Hank, Ghost, and Cinco, and her step-Pitbull, Taser. All of her dogs are rescue animals and could benefit from a different type of therapist.
In addition to playing with her fur kids, Brenda spends time trying to improve her cooking skills, reading a wide variety of fiction, and exercising (although she maintains a love-hate relationship with running).
When Peter isn't helping out with insurance and other details at Quantum Physical Therapy, he can be found on Lady Bird Lake,
where he is indispensable at installing the race courses for
local rowing regattas.
